
As Executive Chef of the Brisbane Marriott Hotel, Peter Iwanczyk has earned an excellent reputation for his ability to produce exceptional concepts and dishes throughout the hotel. His fun-loving nature, good looks and endearing personality makes for an ideal brand ambassador for Motion Bar & Grill and the Brisbane Marriott Hotel.
Peter Iwanczyk’s culinary journey begun two decades ago in the beautiful town of Drysdale, Tasmania. Being exposed to the fresh seafood of the northern shores, his passion for food was ignited at a young age.
After completing his apprenticeship at the Great Northern Hotel, Tasmania, Iwanczyk transferred to Silky Oaks Lodge, P&O where his Chef de Partie duties involved menu planning and using his imagination and creative touch to produce new and exciting dishes.
Iwanczyk’s next adventure took him to the Thala Beach Lodge, Queesland where his management skills were put to the test as he supervised a large team as well as having a hands on role in all areas of production in the kitchen.
After a brief return home to Tasmania, working in the Country Club Casino, Iwanczyk’s determination and thirst for a major challenge led him to the Brisbane Marriott Hotel in 2006.
It is with great delight that he launches Motion Bar & Grill at the Brisbane Marriott Hotel.
